Sariska Tiger Reserve
Spread over 866 sq. Kms with a core area of approximately 500 sq kms, The Sariska Tiger reserve was created in the year 1978 in Alwar district of Rajsthan. It is one of the 27 tiger reserves created by Government of India under Project Tiger to protect the decreasing population of Tigers. Sariska is popular among wild life & nature lovers for its Naturally beautiful sights & Bio - diversity.
Sariska wild life senctuary is situated approx. 37 Kms away from Alwar, 200 Kms from Delhi & 107 Kms from Jaipur, is also praised for its fabulous landscape. With Aravali range of hills on it's background, Sariska experiences extreme weather conditions.
Flora
Rich Flora includes the trees of Dhok (Agnogeissus Pendula), which is a dominant tree species & covers 90% area of the forest. In Other tree species, commonly found are Arjun (Terminalia Arjuna), Guggul (Commiphora wightii), Kadaya (Sterculia Sterculiasurens), Amla (Emblica officinalis) & Bahera (Termenelia belerica) with a mild presence of grasses & herbs. Forest type of Sariska is Tropical dry deciduous forests and Scrub - Thorn Arid Forests.
Fauna
With strong presence of Tigers, The Sariska Tiger Reserve is a native place for number of carnivores which includes Leopard, Hyena, Jackal, Wild Dog & Cat. The park is heaven for variety of migratory birds & other endangered species of big and small animals.
Accommodation
You can chose the best one from several available options of accommodation in & around The Sariska National Park. You can opt for the Government rest houses or you can chose a private one like the heritage hotel Sariska Palace. Since Alwar is quite close from the Sariska National Park, one can stay at a hotel there too.

Best Season to go
The best season to visit Sariska is the Winter season in between the mid October to mid of March. This is the time when Rajsthan is quite lively & enjoyable place due to its pleasant weather. Tourists prefer visiting the Sariska & explore other places at Rajsthan in this season.
